Better than my last bottle. No signs of 2003 pruny/raisin/spirity notes, just a powerful, slightly modern cote-rotie. good stuff. Worth the tariff? probably not

No sign of hot vintage just classic profile of bacon fat, crushed rock, black raspberries, and smoked meats; palate is refined and elegant with fine tannins playing a harmonious role with the fruit, great finish.

Solid wine in a modern style. Loads of ripe red fruits mixed with toasty oak characterize this rich Cote Rotie. There is a pleasant earthiness that is cut short by the modern treatment. I like the silky nature of the palate but can't help to think what could have been done with this fruit. I like it but greatly prefer different style of CR. (90)

Deeply colored with licorice, smoke, coffee bean, blackberry, incense, earthy, blueberry and spice. Modern style of Cote Rotie, with very ripe berries, spice and coffee bean in the finish. This was more interesting a few years ago. It is a bit too oaky for me at this stage of the game.
