I've always enjoyed Grgich Hills Fume Blancs young so I was curious how the 2007 has held up in bottle. Youthful straw/green appearance. Alluring, floral bouquet of jack fruit and pears, lemons and apples, and hints of cream and toast. The palate was surprisingly young, tensile, dry, yet crisp and juicy, with lots of guava in the middle, shifting to citrus pith, then river rocks on the long finish. This was balanced, complex, and structured, retaining its youthful freshness. It eventually developed some lemongrass notes in the glass. Grgich Hills makes one of the best Sauvignon Blancs in California. 92+

Beautiful apple-juice color. Crisp up front with notes of melon, citrus. Rounds out on the back of the tongue, agree with previous comments on the buttery-like-chard feel. Delish with oven-fried chicken!
