-- decanted immediately before initial taste -- -- tasted non-blind over 2 - 3 hours --
NOSE: expressive; clearly has an "aged" aromatic profile; metallic – tangy; meaty – raw, bloody beef; red-fruited (strawberry Twizzlers); a bit fumey; very tertiary – high-toned in a way that reminds me of some old Riojas.
BODY: medium-grained particulate matter throughout; medium-light to medium bodied; dark brick red color of medium-deep depth.
TASTE: 14.5% alc. is very noticeable, and is the primary reason my score isn't a couple points higher; very aged; no tannins; medium acidity; aged red fruits; hint of cocoa powder; red fruit leather; not funky; no brett; seems to be a bit past peak; Drink Now.

In a really good place right now. Beautiful nose of flowers, worn leather, and raspberry tea leaves. The palate is still quite fresh with red stone fruit. Drinking very well now, but this definitely has plenty of life left.

dark fruit profile. getting into some pretty deep fruit aromas, plumminess. rustic dark fruit and just a touch of spice. mature dark fruit profile. some sweet/cinnamon spice to the finish.

Delightful Mourvèdre. Good mellowed tannins, sufficient to cleanse your palate for your next bite of steak. No real tertiary nuances at this point, I am not sure what the future hold but I have many more bottles to figure it out. This is my first. I generally like my Mourvèdre a few years older.

Fantastic wine and drinking wonderfully. Nice lingering finish. It has aged nicely. A really dynamic Mourvèdre. Laura loves it!
