Premox distracts but fruits and texture still present. Sixth of six bottles from Acker auction 5 years ago, only one faulty so it’s probably age, not storage or handling.

{2 of 6 bottles consumed on consecutive nights; bought on release, both bottles had perfect fills} Sophisticated, persistent, deep and satisfying wine. Light yellow color with hint of green in sunlight. Nose initially a little reticent but then flowers into restrained white flowers and pit fruit; very deep palate that goes on and on with excellent length and finish. Very clean and still has a nice backbone of acidity and energy. No tropical fruits or honey in this wine! Both bottles held up nicely to the next day with no signs of being over-the-hill or premox. Drinks best with some chill and is good even at room temperature. Rated at one time or another 92-95. Very complete, Grand Cru wine.

PnP, chilled. Looked a bit dark in the glass - hoped it was appropriate bottle age. First glass each was a bit mature, with more honeyed notes than we like, and good acidity. We poured the second glass and the wine was dead. Another victim of 00's premox!

Oxidized to a lovely but undrinkable golden brown. What a shame.
