  • Beautiful petrol, lemon, quince nose. Elegant palate that is not too sweet, more in the Spatlese category making this an ideal apero and cheese wine. Medium complexity only though for a Riesling of such a top site.

  • From well stored bottle with 1cm ullage. Still fresh and energetic, with a nice delicacy. Enjoyable to drink even if somewhat simplistic. Apples and more apples

  • AP#8. Wow, do I love Fritz Haag's wines. Brilliant yellow gold, with an emphasis on the yellow, this shows barely any age. The nose wafts from the bottle immediately on pulling the moist, but fully intact, cork. Sweet lemons, talc, verbena, and ripe apples all show on the nose, which is followed by a crisp, clean, yellow fruited attack, a very talc driven lemon meringue pie mid-palate, and a mouthwatering, quite dry, super long (I could still taste this 2 minutes later) finish. I couldn't ask for anything more. This is at that perfect place where the sweetness is still apparent in the fruit, yet the finish is dry. Wow.... 95pts pure quality, 97pts for the mythic godness that are top end Wilhelm Haag and now Oliver Haag-made wines. (Supplicating icon here).
