  The mature nose shows candied lemon peel, cantelope, white peach, tangerine zest, and crushed slate. Medium bodied with rich, round, and bright acid that adds a touch of grip. The flavor profile includes lemon curd, peach juice, red plum, lime zest, and white pepper. Hard to tell but there might be a touch of residual sugar. Can’t see this improving.

  Riesling Freaks lazy afternoon lunch (Chez Hugo - Baltimore): Medium expressive nose displaying rich yellow fruit, lemon, lychee, spearmint, tobacco and steely mineral. Very good concentration, packed ripe yellow citrus fruit, dense yet focused, a hint of sweetness, bright acidity, strong steely mineral and a long ripe citrus fruit driven finish with tobacco and spearmint at the end. This is a rich and dense yet steely Riesling.

  My last bottle. Enjoyed this more than the previous two and the expected great match with a slightly sweet salad starter. Both color and palate are however fairly developed so would not hold any remaining bottles for too long.

  Meine Erwartunge waren nicht sonderlich hoch! Was dann kam überraschte positiv! Anfangs etwas plump entwickelte sich der Wein immer mehr an der Luft! Bei aller Wucht und Volumen baute sich eine schöne Säure und Struktur auf. Da letzte Glas war das schönste!! Trinken bis 2023. Lecker!!
