holding up well. what strikes me here is just how huge this wine is as it warms closer to room temp. more manageable (and better) cold - just gets overwhelming in its floral lychee viscosity.
a nice blast from the past!!

Mature Cabs in Philly; 5/11/2009-5/12/2009 (Conshohocken, PA - Blackfish): Medium gold color - Strong and very present acidity helps with the sweetness of this wine. Hints of oranges and pears on the palate, but the fruit is in the background - unctuous mouthfeel. I have had the wine a few times (PLCB has a strong inventory) and have thought prior bottles have reached maturity a bit early - and think this bottle is further evidence to that theory.

You bring 'em - we'll drink 'em (Fayette Street Grille): Darker in color than the other young wines in the flight - Wonderful sweetness buoyed by acidity - pears and spice dominate the mature flavors on the palate. Bordering on unctuous on the mouthfeel. Either this wine has matured at age 8 - or our friends from the PLCB have helped mature it a bit - regardless, it drank well this evening although I can't help but feel it might have been better a few years ago.

Slightly effervescent - obviously not intentional. Still, enjoyable, but shocked to see a winemarking mistake by OH.
