Maybe not “Loring Red” but it is clear, clean and young in the glass. Definite cola, Dr. Pepper, cherry, and cloves on the nose with distinct, clean expressions. This is a very easy wine to drink. Not at all big in the usual Loring style but very New World. Integrated tannins with smooth edges that work with and help carry the acidity and fruit as they do with the tannins. 14.1% alc. With salmon and white bean ragout. 425 cases. Recommended.

The color lacks the intensity of “Loring Red” but it shows no sign of bricking; it exhibits a youthful exuberance of black cherry juice. The nose is not “big” in the sense of grabbing you like a nose ring and pulling you into the glass, but it’s definitely not shy either, what with its cola, Dr. Pepper, cherry, cloves, rosemary and blueberry elements coming through brightly and distinctly on both the nose and the palate. The juice is smooth and easy. While not tight, the flavors and mouthfeel demonstrate a maturing youth vibe with integrated tannins, but still retaining a fruit-forward character. 14.1% alc. With roaring 40s blue and Stilton as well as truffled and manchago cheeses, molé and ham. 425 cases. Recommended.

Chewy black cherry bordering on tannic. Nutmeg, flint and serious depth. Doesn't come together entirely though as the parts are greater than the whole.
