Although past it's window it showed balance & moderate structure. Not a big wine as was the wine makers intention. Had smoothe velvety texture. It was a dark berry nuance with a hint of cocoa. Medium bodied throuh & through. Nice effort

Removed from my wine fridge and stored vertically for 48 hours at ~65degF. Decanted with aeration at room temperature (65-70 degF) and was pleased to find a vibrant nose of dark fruit such as raspberries and blackberries, . First taste was silky smooth and well balanced, with a medium long sweet finish. Ready to drink immediately. The wine was still nicely structured despite concerns of expiration prior to opening. Tannins were polished. Relatively straightforward, but highly enjoyable. Dark ripe berries, vanilla. Most definitely not expired but seemingly at its peak. An excellent value on purchase in 2006.

Still drinking strong, but not too complex. Give about 30-40 min decanting and is ready to go.

Nice sonoma red. Lacks some complexity but well balanced. Unlikely to improve with time. Drink now.
