The chestnut flavor was so distinct and expressive I thought I was having a chestnut dessert! I think it will definitely be better if I had more time to deal with this bottle, can certainly wait for another 5-8 years before drinking it.

Annual gathering with Chicago winos in Chicago - Burgs, SQNs and Cult cabs (David Burke's Primehouse): A bit more advanced than the last bottle drank in April of 2014. Fully mature mineral driven nose, tart tatin, oyster shell, honey, lanoline and limestone. Good concentration, mature sweet yellow fruit driven palate impression, slightly lacking acidity, good mineral presence and medium finish. Another bottle that needs to be drunk.

Wine Dinner Extravaganza (David Burke's Primehouse - Chicago IL): Nicely mature apple with good balance, but slightly more simple than I recall from before. Overall balance is the highlight here, with textures that helped this show better with food than on its own.

Great Wine Dinner with Friends (goosefoot - Chicago IL): Floral, minty start with citrus and orchard notes. Very exciting aromatic start didn't completely follow through on the palate, where the flavor profile was similar but slightly lacking energy and length. Still very enjoyable overall, and much fresher than the last bottle opened a few months ago from the same source.

Med golden with aroma of white flowers, wet stone, and light honey - matured nose. More floral in mouth with precise acidity and oak spice. Good concentration of GC level and long lasting finishing, though less complex.
