  • 26 years old, bouquet intense, aromas of garrigue and violets. Tannin holds but a bit too dominant given the fruit. Syrah/Grenache blend per the label. Bought on a whim recently from K&L — few wines of this age at retail. Cork in good shape, so well cellared somewhere. Good w steak. Would keep a while but past it’s peak for those w new world tastes. I’ll buy a couple more bottles if still available.

  • Dark ruby color, no brown around the edge. Deep nose w/ garrigue and olive. Decent body, fairly rich, but not a long aftertaste. Well-preserved if a bit over the hill.
