  • Double decanted to remove sediment. Medium-bodied wine that is medium to dark red in color with slight bricking at the rim. On the nose, creamy cassis and cedar. On the palate, cassis and milk chocolate. Nicely balanced wine with soft, sweet tannins and a very long 30+ second finish. To a certain extent, this wine reminds me of a medium-aged Bordeaux. Drinking at or just past peak right now...well done! I've been digging into some late 90's L' Ecoles and Woodward Canyons this year and have determined that, to my palate, the L'Ecoles aged much more gracefully.
