  • Second bottle of this in as many weeks. Not as enjoyable as the last one. Drying out and very short. Bottle variation exists even with screwcap. Drink up if you have any, do not leave it too long in a decanter, but be sure to decant the sediment off of the wine. 2.5 out of 5. 83-85.

  • It’s ok. My take on this one on a quick pop and pour that it capture an era of Aussie winemaking (oak, extraction) in a vintage that did not provide much persistence of flavour and drive. Bricky red. Malty and minty and leather on the nose (spearmint lollies). Pretty clumsy, chewy and thick in the mouth. Choco and perhaps a touch of animal. Acid (feels added... overly) and red fruit provide freshness through the finish. Drink now, enjoy for what it is. 3.4/5 91ish.

  • Terrible upon opening, very dusty tasting wine with zero mid-palate.... Very unsatisfying. Improved significantly with 2hrs in a decanter, becoming darker, more intensive, richer and with a mid-palate although lacking much complexity/interest before becoming tart with another 2hrs. I'd say... (1) don't buy, and (2) wait until 2017 on rest of case - can only improve from here - and drink before 2020.

  • Supposedly disappointing vintage, but was delicious and in good shape structurally. OK, it won't cellar well for as long as other vintages, but have no fear this is high quality wine by normal standards of the CellarTracker community.
