  • Beautiful bouquet with ripe dark fruits and good oak. Same on the palate. A firm amount of sweetness and also good acidity. Soft tannin. Ready now.

  • A little towards the candy side, a bit flabby. Smells kind of like apple cider. Pleasant and easy drinking. Not much structure, but enough tannin to hold together. Creamy midpalate suggesting well-integrated oak. Finishes cleanly, though not profoundly.

  • Opaque purple/red. Strong nose of medicinal herbs, some earthiness under it, bacon fat, and a bit of dark red fruit. In the mouth, the wine shows a lot of weight, some firm tannins from the foretaste. More of the herb, a lot more dark cherry. Slightly medicinal. Balance is a bit off -- the tannins overpower right now, but this wine is being consumed young. Long finish.

Could evolve into an 88+ as the wine ages; this does show a bit of cellaring potential. Drink 2011-2016.
