Lieu-dit Cur Blind White Dinner (S.K.Y.): Double blind 07/08 Sauzet BBM & 07/08 Bouchard C-M Cabotte. A rather meek and modest nose of white fruit. The palate has bright, punch acids to lift up the ripe orchard fruit. Citrus oil accents in the finish. Solid, but would have expected another gear.

Very backward with toast, flint and yellow fruit. Palate had lots of acidity but the fruit did not open up. Could be an off bottle as the 07 Sauzet BM is now so opulent and ready.

Blind White Burgs - Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet (Acadia): Double blind in a flight of 08/07/06 Sauzet BBM. More ripe than the '08 with red apple, pear and some toast. Rich on the palate with nice balancing freshness. The finish here is elegant with mineral and seashells and almost Chablis-like. Very good, but not remarkable.

(Etienne Sauzet Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet) Bright light yellow color; refined citrus, lemon zest, mineral nose with a touch of oak; big, tight, ripe and solid lemon palate, tangy, with depth, but a little austere at this stage, has good extract and acidity though for the long haul; medium-plus finish 93+ pts.

Lieu-dit Cru "Blind White" Dinner Comparing 2007 and 2008 White Burgundy (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL): Served double blind to the group, single blind for me. Ripe, rounded and fleshy to start, brighter and more classic middle through finish, ending slightly firm. Best to enjoy over the next few years.

Blind White Dinner: Top Producers' Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet (Acadia - Chicago IL): Tasted blind. Least accessible of the flight, but with lots of concentration to start. Oddly slightly hollow in the middle. Probably needs the most time of the wines in the flight. Probably still has upside.
