Had a second crack at this bad boy tonight and was duly impressed. Color a little brickish and pruny. Great wood and leather and cherries on the first sniff. A little plum jam in there too. Bright cherries on medium body with deep flavour. Satisfying finish. Good value. It will be a staple in my cellar. Good now but a little cellaring might integrate it a tad.
From road 13 website:
"The grapes came from southwest facing sites that consist of sand and clay. We used some Hungarian oak as well as the usual French. Average barrel age is three years, which has contributed to the delightfully supple texture of the wine. This is a light, refreshing, and eminently drinkable Pinot Noir."

I want to taste this wine again as it was drunk before it really had a chance to tell it's whole story. I was not impressed off the pop but started to really dig it as the subtlety began to show through. This Pinot MUST be decanted and given time to stretch out.

Light in color and body, as a pinot should be. But still has decent concentration and depth of flavors. I like it a lot - slightly new world but without any of the cherry cola flavors i seem to find so much in CA and OR. Slightly disjointed at the end, but I was drinking it young.
Long live Okanagan! Looking forward to doing a tasting tour sometime.

Not sure if it was 2007 or 08. Much to young - tasted like grape juice. 1st appearence looked more like a rose.
