Pronounced nose intensity with notes of mushroom, leather, earth, spices, red and black fruits. Medium tannin and medium acidity. Will not improve. Drink up.

- Nice color - Nose was a bit less than I expected. Nice notes of earth, leather, smoke - Taste was good. Still fresh after all those year, but a bit past its "bedtime". Nicely balanced, good fruit with good tannin. - Overall, past its heyday but very good nonetheless

PnP but appareantly should have been decanted at least an hour before. It started off somewhat restrained and ungiving with an unbalancing acidity on the forefront. After 30m it found itself and opened up in a more balanced and giving way. Red berries, menthol. Cool, calm and collected. Paired excellently with roast lamb. I though this wine would be rapidly on the decline, but it proved to be a very good experience, still balanced and showing clear fruit. Will probably still drink well in 5 years time.

Clean cut Puillac, have matured very well. Tried this against the same wine from 1985, quite interesting some similarities, bot also huge differences due to the age. Happy that I have another bottle left.

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon (75 %) and Merlot (25 %).
Tawny coloured. Med intense, pure bouquet quite matured and developed. Dry, med acid, tannins, alc, body and intensity. Well-balanced and harmonious.
Drink.
My notes: Blackcurrants, leaves, tobacco, plums, herbs, lead pencil, sweet liquorice. Peaty finish w. orange.
