Community Tasting Notes (1) Median Score: 86 points

  • Cork was obviously of minor quality and broke into dozens of pieces when trying to open the bottle. After some filtration the wine presented itself in a dark ruby with a black core, getting thinner towards the outside and already showing some orange-brown coloration on the rim. Pretty ripe nose of prune, hints of cassis, black cherries and some dark chocolate. Rather sweet attack, cooked red fruits, hints of spice, seemed rather tired to me just as the weak finish that offered nearly no length at all. Might have been a simple fruit bomb two years ago, but now this is declining quickly. Drink it up while its still halfway decent.
