Dinner with Julie and Spartap Joya – Wow, so wonderful and unique, so youthful. Nose of crushed frozen stones, chamomile, candied lime and a touch of gunsmoke. Seamless on the palate, amazingly vibrant and youthful for a 10-year old white. More mild mannered than many aged Dagueneaus I have had, but wonderful nonetheless with loads of nuance. The classic touch of lime, cut grass and gunflint. Gorgeous food wine.

Marche Julie Rex -- Spectacular Dagueneau, wow, loaded with honeyed chamomile, orange/lemon oil, pineapple and orange blossom. A hint of truffled honey. So balanced and seamless, gorgeous! Paired magnificently with fish appetizers.

Castro Point Cyn Rob -- Transcends ordinary Sauvignon Blanc with that brilliant Loire flinty gunsmoke and white stonefruit, amazingly fresh at 8 years old. Mesmerising nose you come back to over and over. The telltale citrus/grapefruit is there, but so much more nuance too. Fruit intermixed with crushed minerals and gunpowder, a touch of a honeyed truffle Raveneau-ish element too. Nice!

Evvia B&D pre Les Amis--gorgeous aromatics of spicy citrus, frozen crushed minerals and metals, spearmint and lanolin. Very unique mouthfeel, rich and yet bone dry with a chalkiness. Great food wine, albeit a bit flamboyant.
