Interesting. Pale Gold in color. Petrol straight off the nose, at 2008 it seems a bit early for the riesling petrol thing to be happening. All the usual acid and lemon there that you would expect and drank well over 2 days, if anything the acid is the hero of the wine, well it is an aussie riesling. The petrol thing is a question for me however. If you follow the line of though that the petrol scent indicates a fault in the wine making that comes out over time then the wine is a fail, especially at 2008. If you like the petrol thing then then at $20 and 2 years old then the wine is a winner. The final choice is in the drinker and I liked it without being blown away, will try the other one I have in 12 months and see how it compares

Fresh, vibrant, crystal clean but with more "fruit" emphasis than the Grosset Polish Hill. For some tasters this seemed a bit easier to take.
