  • From impeccable storage, it looks relatively youthful in colour. A beautiful fruit driven wine, lime cordial, honey suckle, slate/minerals. The acid is pretty well resolved, with a touch remaining the carries the wine. No signs of kero/petrol. A bit of a 'wow' wine considering its price point on release. Top Stuff.

  • Lovely wine. Mineral, fruit, slate, a touch of lemon. Best with our crab soup and with the miso and ginger-glazed cod. Great QPR for our $12.12 retail.

  • Has that lovely sense of place derived minerality that Riesling can provide, intertwined with kerosene, floral & crystallised honey notes; just starting to unwind on the palate, still has marked acidity & jarringly dry finish. All a bit shrill. Palate just doesn't chime with the bouquet. Very long. Needs a couple more years.

  • Started off quite green but got progressively better over the few days it was left in the fridge. Typical riesling nose but would have liked more body. A little bit soft. Good but not a bit pricey.

  • On closeout for eight bucks, this was a no-brainer, especially given the vintage. Classic Clare Valley flavors of quince and lime. Nearly the resiny viscosity of a good Austrian Riesling. A long, pleasantly mouth-puckering finish. Just a hint of bitterness on the back end keeps this from being outstanding. Had a glass a night for four nights, and it was still very solid on the fourth night. I interpret this as meaning plenty of upside potential; I sense the acids will integrate better, as is common for this grape. Recommended for warm-weather refreshment.
