Hints of gold on the rim: looks mature. Quite a muted nose initially that opens over time: orchard fruits, orange peel, mint. Round and full in the mouth, totally seamless. Intense finish with a lick of oak. This is absolutely gorgeous and in a perfect drinking place.

Fantastic white burg at the beginning of what should be an extended plateau. Pours very young looking and nearly transparent. Delicate white flowers with some sweet fruit. Good acidity to keep it fresh. Really enjoyable.

This wine has lots of energy, no doubt... crisp acidity and a big attack. But the fruit is overly sweet to my palate, it currently dominates all other aspects of the wine and makes me concerned about the wine-making as I have heard stories that Pierre-Yves uses designer yeasts to get a certain taste to his wine.

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune): Small glass. Floral with bright apple and pear. Noticeably fresh after so many older wines. Nicely ripe while tart, this is still such a baby, despite having been opened hours earlier.
