Opened 3 hr prior to drinking, decanted prior to serving, some sediment, deep purple, little to no bricking, long finish, soft acidity, served with angus ribeyes; Luke 5:39

Inky color. Violet and spice nose. Extracted ripe fruit with solid structure. Full bodied and acid minus with ripe tannins. Medium to long length and extremely plesant finish. Don't purturb the bottle, there is a lot of sediment on the bottle side and the bottom.

Dark and inky appearance. Still a lot of primary cassis/plum fruit with toast, cloves and vanilla aromas. Densely built with ripe tannins, toasted flavours and smooth texture. Quite well balanced without heat or burn, but the "modern" style comes across as somewhat outdated these days, and isn't very expressive of its origin either. Anyway, an enjoyable companion to beef tenderloin. Now and over the next five.

Great wine, great year, drinking nicely and don't see a rush to consume remaining bottles yet

Lot of oak, dark fruit, meat and herbs. Fine tannins. Hedonistic pleasure
