2 of 3 bottles were flawed, the third was beautiful. Aged barbaresco with an orange hue, tons of roses on the nose with a bit of orange zest, fully integrated tannin, good red fruit with tertiary notes of leather and spice. Very light and delicate. Wonderful.

Tasted double blind in a lineup of 13 wines from the 1980's. Nose eucalyptus, cassis and coffee. On the palate, it had mint, leather and dark berries. Long finish with mint throughout. Very tart overall with not much fruit. Firm tannins. Hold?

CT Offline IV--Hill Country Edition; 5/18/2012-5/19/2012 (Austin / Texas Hill Country / Castleman Ranch): A bit of chemical on the nose--a bit like windex / cleaning solution. Definitely bricking for sure. Not a ton of fruit left on this one. Still a bit of mint on the palate, and a bit of acidity and astringency still shines through. A bit of vegetal and a hint of cedar. But this one is sort of lacking in a lot of taste. Seems like the bulky taste this once had is pretty much gone at this point. Pretty delicate, although pleasant for sure.

First bottle was corked, second was maderized. One more to go and I'm not holding my breath.
