Smelling very much like a classic Bordeaux with cedar, coffee grounds, campfire, currant, cigar, dusty cherry, except for a round, plump, sweetly fruited dimension that suggests warm climate. This is absolutely in the zone and if you have one, drink it now. Old school, mature, poised, sexy as hell, Damn!

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Our house): Aromas of iodine, dark fruit and plum. The palate follows the bouquet with added notes of underbrush, red fruit and tobacco. Long, balanced finish. Drinking extremely well right now and should hold for quite a few years.

4th Saturday Group. Initially weedy, but developed some green notes and became Bordeaux like with dusty tannins. Resolved very nicely over the course of the evening. Further demonstrates why I lean toward SCM more and more. Not showing any visible signs of age, and would not have guessed 23 years old. Guessed Bordeaux.

Brilliant. Decanted 2 hours and then leisurely consumed over 5. Nose was explosive and complex after the initial decant: rangy and wild, I'd confused it with the CdP that was also in our glasses. Classic and impeccably balanced dark fruit and layered herb. Oak and tannins are still detected, doing their job keeping the classy fruit on its pedestal. One hell of a wine.
