"Fire sale, everything must go" tasting with friends (At home): A bit of a barnyard stink to begin with, but that soon blew off and this developed impressively in the glass. Dartk stone fruits on nose and palate, but with a bit of nervosity and grip, and a lovely ethereal sweetness on the nose and on the finish.A wine really hitting its stride. Perhaps the group favourite of this flight.

Youthful colour but mature aromatics. Dark stone fruits, liquorice, a hint of rusticity. Open-knit and attractive on the palate, with sweet fruit balanced with just enough acidity; a bit of tannin underneath. Good finish. More masculine/dark than I'd expect from Chambolle, but still a lovely wine.

6/6/2016 - Tony Molester Does not like this wine:
My expectations were high. I was disappointed.
Chambolle is usually one of my favorites, and Barthod's wines are usually spot on.
Thin fruited and disjointed flavours. Rustic tannins. Unremarkable finish. The bt I tasted had clearly passed its peak a while ago.
One of those burgundies that makes a perfect counterpoint of disappointment for any aficionado. Luckily these are infrequent.
Avoid (this bottle, not the producer)

really nice bottle of wine right now; a little funk, but still plenty of dark fruits on the nose and on the palate; nice weight and length
