The CSM Indian Wells Merlot is a medium bodied garnet wine. The nose has smoke, black currant, vanilla and hints of green olive. Rounded in the mouth with juicy tastes of blueberry and black currants. Decent finish with more blueberry and black currant, but adding a spice note.

The Indian Wells Merlot is a deep garnet wine with a medium body. The rich nose has lots of black currant, smoke, some toasty oak and hints of vanilla. This is a fruit forward wine that is rounded, yet well structured, with tastes of black currant and blackberry. Really nice depth of fruit in this wine. It has more black currant, blackberry and spicebox on a medium plus finish . Good balance to this wine and very pleasurable to drink alone.

The Chateau Ste. Michelle Indian Wells Merlot is a garnet wine with a medium body. The nose has some cherry and vanilla lurking behind earth and some leather. Soft in the mouth with dusty black cherry and mouth coating tannins. The finish is relatively short with dull cherry and oak. But the cherry does outlast the oak. This bottle seems very different than earlier bottles. The nose which was so forward is gone and overall the fruit seems dulled, not lacking, just dull. The finish is lackluster at best.
