Pours yellow gold with aromas of angel food cake, guava, persimmons, and green apple with spicy toasted oak around the edges. Medium full body with excellent acidity while the abv pushes nearly 15% it seems to balance nicely. I taste creme brulee, raw freshly hand pounded dough, green apple, pineapple, honeysuckle, vanilla bean. The finish lingers with great length. This wine is peaking right now while other O6's are dead. Overall: this is a beastly specimen (high octane abv) of outstanding complex nature with the grace of an American gymnast going for the gold. Another four years? That's the question.

ditto from 10/9/10: this has lost some of its "baby fat" and is settling in as a complex beauty

Not as sumptuous as my last bottle - still charming and one of my favorites from Cali. Should be interesting to see how this continues to develop
