Golden yellow, medium intensity. Mature medium(+) nose. Oxidized, bruised apples, sweet spices. More than mature. Dry, high acidity, medium body. Flavours of oxidized apples, integrated oak, dirt. Very good length with orange fruit and then bitterness. First impression, oxidized and far over the top. However, something captivates the interest and develops to the better in the glass, the oxidized apples more in the background. Day 2: Exotic dried fruit, bruised apples, pineapple. Day 3: Still going strong. Pronounced orange.
Perfect match to grilled scallops with gently fried leek, kale and lemon sprinkled apple (lots of butter in the pan) and hazelnuts and browned butter.

This is drinking very very well currently. Cool, well delineated white fruits in the aromas, with a pungent minerality to boot. The palate has uncoiled and come into excellent balance, with lively acidity lifting the whole wine rather than being a distinct element. Long finish, perfectly reprising the components. Excellent, and could well develop still.

Excellent. Highly complex with good acidity. Good concentration. Oak perfectly integrated. Faint oxidation that just added to complexity. Best bottle so far.

Quite rich, but not "showy" white Bgn. Drinking very well right now.
