This has softened considerably since I last tasted it a couple of years ago and was drinking beautifully after just the tiniest bit of air with lots of fairly delicate, earthy, red fruit, some spice and some interesting, funky, sous bois nuances. All in all, quite delicious, but sadly, my last bottle.

This was double decanted for 4-5 hours and needed every bit of that to open. This easily drinks at 1er cru level and still has lots of structure that needs to resolve with dark, penetrating red fruit, earth, spice and sois bois. The tannins on the finish are quite firm and chalky. There's lots of depth and complexity here, but I think that this is just a baby. I'm kind of sad that I only have one bottle left.

Dark ruby in color, nose of some residual oak and red fruit, palate a bit tight at 1st but opened up considerably after an hour. Unresolved tannins and slightly dry finish, also noticed slightly underripe fruit as compared to Liger Belair's 06 Lavieres.

Sample at store. A bit more of everything. Showed good balance and intensity. A very clean wine that did not have flaws but did not generate much interest either. (85)

Bobby Kacher Dinner at Knightsbridge (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL): Ripe dark fruit with some hardy and structured tannins. This will need plenty of time. A rare exception where I prefer the 2007 vintage of a wine vs. its 2006 counterpart. Not clear where/when this will emerge into something truly exciting.

(Lecheneaut Philippe et Vincent Nuits St.Georges Les Damodes) Medium-plus cherry-red colour. Braod and high-toned aromas. It’s a mouth-filling wine - you know it’s there! Structured but balanced, with a dark personality. Quite impressive.
