Kicked off the Memorial Day weekend on the deck with this one. Chilled, it presented a citrusy nose and some smokey minerals. A pleasant, crisp palate. Held up nicely to the fruit and aged parmesan at the table.

First hot day of summer. Served chilled, slight aroma of oak with vanilla/olive/straw, even though my impression is that oak is seldom used for aging in Sancerre. Very refreshing acidity balanced with a nice mouth feel. Flavors of oro bianco grapefruit and star fruit. Refreshing, but enough body to hold it's own with pate and cheese.

Expressive Sancerre nose towards a more tropical bouquet. Very nice mid-palate if a little clipped by the lower than normal acidity. Certainly better than CA Sauv. Blanc.

Wet stones, mineral, tropical fruit, crisp but not tart. Excellent with oysters or briny fish.

Heritage: Citrus, grapefruit nose, pretty int. aromas, crisp, minerally and citrus, no oak of course! Med. bod, good bright crisp Sancerre.
