Still very good after 35 years. Matured and settled down. Not a lot of decanting time needed. The provenance had a lot to do with it. Great condition wine. Thanks to Baghera Wines Geneva. 👍

Solid vintage. Cedar wood mocha, pronounced cassis. Baking spice (clove, cinnamon) on the nose hints of anise and slight earthy finish. Great to explore this vintage.

Brick red and amber rim. Very Slightly minty on the nose. Lovely red fruits in the palate, initially decent depth but fades in the glass. At plateau but a pleasurable drink

Tasting of 2 Pomerols 1989 vintage, at lunch with Kathy, Virgie, and Joe, nose of mocha chocolate, red and black cherry fruit, black currants, touch of bret, and forest floor, same on the palate, big body, very tasty, bigger body and more power than the Chateau L'Eglise Clinet, our favorite today, at its peak but holding well, long finish. Picture added.
