Blind, red licorice, aneth, herbe de Provence, green olives ending on a slightly acidic finish. Seems like its in its peak drinking window where it will not improve. Some tannins present. Had this a few years ago, this bottle was slightly les impressive which leads me to believe that the wine is on a decline. Drink within 5 years.

One very lonely bottle purchased by auction in summer for nuts, I do know this estate from some more younger vintages, hard to get the unexpected extremly long soaked cork out of the bottle, an impressive specimen, like from a 1er grand cru Bordeaux......, poured in a big glass, dark wine, but showing some brightening on the rim, very very spicy in the nose, tannins after an hour still drying, complex, elegant melting, wet soil, some meaty aromas, all showings on the off berry side, maybe some compote in the far background, but it is only a whiff of it, quite balanced, midweight body, long finish, on top now, but in well stored bottles no reason to hurry up finishing this stuff, as in all vintages drunken until now an impressing wine, a specific fine bottle, ***-*, 89- 91+?

Wine needs time to open up / mature, could feel the alcohol and some tannic after-taste, otherwise pleasant. Quite savoury flavours, almost meat, like a well cooked stake - would pair well with food.

Blind, slight brick rim, some cardboard, anise, again with the olives, sweet and ripe mouthfeel, very long finish. Seems like 10 years left.
