Beautiful nose with pineapple, minerals, lychee, citrus with a whiff of petrol. Easy to guess as Riesling. Good palate, medium sweetness. I am just missing a bit the energy and tension I would be getting from a JJ Prum.

Wine tasting and dinner with Sofia Thanisch at Corney & Barrow HO, London. With dinner. Forward, lighter style than most of the wines at this tasting/dinner. Lantern fruit and ripe pineapple. Glycerine and granite. Acid balance makes this feel medium dry. While undoubtedly excellent, a little hollowness and a touch of greenness prevents a higher mark. Not for the long haul - for drinking 15 years from vintage.

As per AVP's note above, although the nose is now showing what the palate was showing - sweet green apples, lemon, honey. Superb. I too 'wish I had some.'

Very much closed on the nose with a strong cement-like aroma dominating. No fruit to speak of. Sweet and refreshingly acidic with intense green apple fruit and lemony freshness. Lovely balance. Some hints of richer fruit (pineapple, peach). Long finish. Very promising. Wish I had some.
