Great color no browning at the edges. Medium weight with very good saliva inducing acidity and hints of wild cherries. Wow does this 16 year old CdR deliver!

Beautiful aged colour, no brown but a clear rim. Slight sediment. Superb evolved nose. Chewy tannins. Mouthfilling wine in texture as well as taste. Impressive, savoury length. At 7 years old is perhaps at its peak. Wouldn't keep it too long from here on in. Note: displays some bottle variation at this age

Suprisingly funky, with significant barnyard. Beyond this, nice texture, with mellow cassis and raspberry. Much of the fruit is perhaps gone, but I did not have this vintage young to confirm this. Elegant, but drink up.

($11) Ripe raspberry and grape nose with a hint of leathery Rhone funk. Medium-full bodied with some excess acidity and maybe some extra CO2. Smoky bitter charcoal finish. Nice, but I don’t really get it what makes it such a great value. Has some cottony tannins lingering in the finish. The mouthfeel on this wine is unusual.
