Wonderful beujolais! Drank after 5 years, and was nearly perfect. Paired it with Lechon (a Philippine Roast Pig delicacy with liver sauce), the acidity cut the fat nicely. A lot of mild cherry and other red berry notes, with some florals on the side, which paired extremely well with the slightly sweet liver sauce. Light bodied but with an excellent mouth feel, mid to long finish. I'll never enjoy lechon as much without ever again!

Transparent ruby with noticeable edge thinning and lite in the glass. Raspberry, plum and currant on the nose. Secondary graphite and olive. Medium body with raspberry and parched stem on the initial palate. Biting citrus and hints of veggies on the back. Clean minerality and grippy. Medium finish. The bitter, tart spike in the middle prevents it from being excellent.

Very, very good Beaujolais. Like a (Crozes) Hermitage on the nose. That red cherry with raspberry thing. Highly drinkable: fruity and clean! This will be very nice on a summerday BBQ! But also on the couch watching BBC's Masterchef or soccer :-)

There's some fruit hiding behind the pencil shavings. Too much graphite for my palate. Juicy, though. Trace of heat on the nose doesn't help. How many years would this need to calm down? 2? 1? Or is this it?

Real wine, real nice.
How he gets so much minerality out of Gamay I'll never know but I'm thankful for it.
