This wine has developed considerable weight and nuance since last year. I has a beautiful nose of flowers, peach and honey melon. The wine is fresh, yet with a full, semi-fat body. We drank this as an aperitif, but it would go well with fish.

Aromatically challenged. Not picking up much on the nose. Heavy and flat on the palate. Completely lacking in the acidity or freshness that I'm looking for. Got a little nice spiced pear. A tart, slightly acidic finish. Bleh.

I am not crazy about Genovesi's white Cassis. To me it lacks freshness, acidity and the flowery aromas I find in his rose. It comes across a bit clumsy and uninspiring.

(Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Blanc) Bright straw-yellow, with unique aromas of pine needle, dried brush, sage, lemon zest, acacia, and honey. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, clean, and delicate, with dried herbs and lemon zest and a long pine-needle-sea-mist finish. The acids are bright and persistent, but gentle. Provence: Heaven for the Senses
