  • Out of half. Rich darkish yellow color. After a while this opens up and starts showing lots of rich fruit aromas -- ripe peaches and apricots plus more tropical things like mango and pineapple. But when you drink it the fruit's hardly there. It's mostly just nutty, earthy structure, and the wine feels kind of dense and chewy, although the fruit shows up again on the finish. Is this too young? Too old? I don't have enough experience with these to say. A strange one.

  • Honey in color with strong lychee and fat avocado notes. No petrol or mineral suprisingly. Thick to finish and a layer of sweetness that detracted. Definitely lesser than the '97 Grillet.
