Moderate but not deep yellow. Not a lot on the nose, smells even a bit reductive. Crisp aged citrus fruit with core of lemon peel, a bit steely. Dry on the back palate. Tastes more like a 4 year old than a 10 year old. Great seafood wine still and probably better with food. This bottle does taste a tad reductive, a previous one this month was much more aged and near end of drinking window but warranted a higher score. Both under Stelvin, weird huh?

Starting to turn a slight golden colour. Brown lime cordial, toast, a touch of beeswax. Still has a good level of acidity that carries the wine. Good length and finish

Very nice riesling, however I think that it's still a pup. Needs a few more years to fully express itself. The score I've given it could go up, we'll see with time as I've still got another bottle to try in a couple of years.

2012 Sydney Royal Wine Show - Exhibitor's Tasting (Olympic Park, Homebush): Bronze medal {screwcap} Very advnaced for five years; developing honey/toast/kerosene aromas here precede a chalkily phenolic and very dry palate with medium-high acid, a real honey tinge to the lemon flavours, plenty of weight in the middle of the tongue, and a medium length finish. Still some way to go as far as development goes (another 5-6 years?) but it will be at its best earlier than a great vintage. A lesser wine than the 2009.

Excellent. Aged quite well. Dry. Citrus notes with some minerality. Moderate (nice) finish. Pairs well with seafood, pork and lighter meats.
