Now in a wonderful drinking window. Unlike the last bottle (1/26/22), it is now unobtrusive and elegant.
Day 1 (undecanted, 30 min open): Classic Nebbiolo aromas, black cherry, pepper, some plum. Still slightly tart tannins.
(then forgotten in the refrigerator). Day 5: Left in the refrigerator for four days with about 1/2 contents (vacuums): Now it is miraculously smooth, balanced and - much to my amazement - not oxidative at all, but still fresh and fruity with nice tertiary flavors.
Hint: either decanted 3 hrs before consumption or leave open in the refrigerator for 2 days.

Oh boy this is going strong, the bottle was opened 4 days ago and the wine had been in the decanter in the fridge since. NO sign of oxidation. Inky blueberries and TONS of tannins, licorice. I am not going to touch my bottle for at least 10 years.

Decanted about 30-45 minutes before trying. Surprisingly accessible. Floral aromatics with lots of red fruit. Spice started to unfold after an hour. Soft and elegant for a Barolo this young. Probably still getting better, but drinking great tonight.

Nach einem 79er Gazin Pomerol wirkte dieser Barolo etwas zu dicht und üppig. Lag wohl weniger an ihm selbst als am Pomerol.
