Very meaty nose with other smells reminiscent of hot terracotta tiles and baked earth. There are some dried fig and raisin fruit and despite all of the warmer aroma and flavour characters the wine is still very fresh. The 'old school' Faiveley structure underpins all of the sweetness on the palate and there is some slightly gritty tannins to the finish.

This bottle was fantastic. This is a bottle that has been seared into my memory. There was so much fruit and life left in it. It was integrated so beautifully and elegant. Truly a wine I will never forget.
