Tasted blind: pleasantly red-fruited, just going from secondary to tertiary; hints of cola, molasses and the most subtle hints of something herbal like tomato leaf. Just very good. 90+

Showed brick orange around the edges with a bright plum center in the glass. Nose of sweet and sour cherry with lots of barnyard and acid, more of the same on the palate, showed a much better nose and taste the second night as most of the barnyard and acid had oxidized to red cherry, especially on the mid palate, medium body, rich and tasty, with a medium/big finish and lovely aftertaste.

Cork intact - bled nearly through. A chemical smell on opening that dissipates after a few minutes. Color is on the browner side of red, but could easily be 10 years younger. On the palate: delicious integration of tangy light orange fruit with a mildly tart long finish. A nicely constructed wine, and a tribute to Patrice Rion's wine making vision. Clearly justifies both its Grand Cru ranking and its many years waiting in the cellar.

Beautiful deep red core, dark fruits spice and some heat on the nose. Quite primary, darkest fruited Daniel Rion wine so far (89/90 VR and NSG 1er crus) Deep power but needs more time

Based on last note I decanted this for an hour. This bottle definitely benefited from the additional 10 years in the cellar.
