Still very good. Has evolved well. Had it along with a 98 Fontodi Casa Via(Syrah) over Thanksgiving, both very similar with rich bouquet dark fruit flavors.

Secondary notes dominate the nose, with Brett elements supported by hints of saddle leather and burnt rubber. A bit of black cherry on the palate with a muted mix of red and dark berries and a cary-through of the secondary notes. An interesting wine, but not particularly inspiring, drink up now.

Savoury and not as ripe as the Cornas poured alongside; there's still plenty of rich fruit but it's offset by an earthy flavour element and bright acids that give the fruit a nice sense of freshness.

Popped and poured. Signs of seepage under the capsule and the cork was saturated. Nothing seems out of place, but it is only an OK drink. Hopefully it will open up more as the night goes on.

For 10 mins could almost be an aged and rich bordeaux with concentrated black fruit nose. Mouth: plum / red fruit, full, and rich. Slight meatiness quickly comes through and fruit fades. Over 2 hours, some complex savoury and herbal notes - almost aged Gattinara. And then, in final glass, fresh red and black fruit is back. Very nice surprise. 92
