Tasted immediately after opening. Medium golden colour. Unfortunately the nose displays clear signs of oxidation with windfall apples, malt extract and sherry dominating over more subtle notes of citrus, smoke and seashore. The palate, however, is not bad at all – generous fruit, pronounced minerality and good length. Won’t score this one as there’s obviously something wrong here, but it was still too good for the kitchen sink.

Seems to be a point right now; light golden color, vivid acidity, butterscotch, vanilla, good balance, a very correct and typical puligny, both smoth and crisp. I d not see this improving, it is quite open and ready to go. (Kandestederne)

Tasted immediately after opening. Medium straw colour. On the nose; smoky buttered toast, caramel, minerals and some indefinable white fruit. On the palate; lemon, lime and a touch of grapefruit bitterness. High acidity. Comes across as somewhat austere, especially on the mid palate. Although the wine became increasingly generous during the course of the evening, a little more ripeness would in my view have been preferable. Still young, and since there’s no sign of premox I’ll wait another two to three years before cracking the next bottle. Enjoyable today, but has the potential to become a lot better if it opens up some more.

taste: delicious medium feel with medium/high acidity and balanced tones of green apples, minerals, and a touch of white florals and pears. Not too complex right now, but good depth and with a classy side to it
overall: This certainly does need more time and should develop nicely. It shows off its terroir well and the aromatics are nice. If some more complexity is added, then this could be a real beauty of a wine

Knightsbridge's New Release Burgundy Tasting (Knightsbridge, Northbrook IL): nose: clear and slightly tight nose of minerals, green apples, white fruits, and a good bit of white florals. Very well balanced, and though a bit tight, the aromatics are showing very nicely
