Bottle off the wine list at Nicolas Le. Drank over 2 hours. Good right from the get go and stayed good throughout. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnet rim. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of dark floral violets, garden earth, dark red cherries, wild berries, hint of meat with iron mineral. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), resolved rounded medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, wild blueberries, iron earth, nice touch of meat, dark sweet spice. Medium+ finish. Very good quality. Drinking in a good place at peak now methinks. Not sure why this got such low scores from the critics. A more gentle form of Gevrey. From the lieux-dits of Les Seuvrées and Les Murots.

taste: excellent medium feel with attractive tones of red fruits, dark red cherries, bits of spice and berries. Nice medium acidity backs this up, but its not overbearing
overall: Fairly open right now. Should add some depth with a bit of time, but is nice and attractive right now

Fragrant nose with a bit of flint, heavy dense red fruit in the mouth with a nice meandering finish. Solid but not a home run at the price point.

Selection Becky Wasserman Tasting (Tribeca Grill - New York, NY): Tasting, brief note. Big black fruit on nose and palate, lots of structure from middle to finish. Good potential for its level, but needs a few years to soften.

Fine Vines Fall Grand Tasting (OneSixtyBlue, Chicago IL): nose: nice and robust nose of red fruits, dark red cherries, spices, and red berries. The fruit has a brighter style with nice depth
