Bottle 1119/1511- Typical Leroy aromatics. Palate is very dense for a village, and in fact, it triumphs the 07 La Tache for the first two hours before the LT blooms ans takes charge. It has very good depth accompanied with a long finish. 93++

Bottle 1190/1511- Perfume, citrus, red currant and potpourri. Surprisingly backward given the 07 Volnay Santenots and 07 Gevrey Combottes are wide open now. The wine finally opened up after 3 hours of air. Palate showed bright fruit, spice, stems, flowers. Good backbone with density. Give it more time. The 07 NSG will age very well. 93+

World Wine Symposium 2013 - Kevin and Kelly's excellent adventure; 11/6/2013-11/14/2013 (Villa D’este, Lake Como): Laurent opened this to compare with the 07 Claude Dugat. I am always amazed that how Madame creates such a strong Leroy signature. Ripe black fruits, black berry jam, stewed berries, a hint of caramel, nutmeg, sesame and stem. Good concentration, generous jammy fruit expression and nicely integrated tannins. Here once again, I found the vintage trait, slightly missing mid palate. Drinking beautifully right now.

Medium garnet color with slight purplish tone. Fantastic nose of red flowers, increasingly floral after an hour of air, with slight mean and damp earth. Palate on the lean side pretty much what you would expect from a NSG village, but quite well made for a 07, slight mineral finish at the end, fine tannins. Nose 91-92pts, palate 89-90pts.
