Alc: 12.5%; Light to medium crimson Tertiary bouquet with noted development yet underneath some Bing cherry and frozen cranberries poke out. Some chalky notes too. Juicy on entry but soon tightens with vibrant acidity create a linear feel. Not much fruit on the mid-palate as has waned with age, yet there is still a youthful playfulness to the wine. Chalky, mineral tannins with a smear of honey alongside an earthy component. Overall, the acid and tannins stick out as the fruits seems diminished giving the wine aggressiveness and making it hard to enjoy. Probably lots better in its youth.

Ruby with a hint of lightening to the rim and much less intense colour than the 2009. Even nose and palate are less intense and more simple, than the great 2009 (much better vintage in beaujolais than 2008), but nevertheless this is a fine example of a Moulin a Vent. Cherries, minerals, marrow. On the palate still a backbone of round tannin. I'm less confident about the aging potential than one or two years ago, but it should hold through for another 5 years in a cool cellar. On the other side there is no need to wait at all. 5/11/16/7.

ruby with brickred rim, intense nose of cherries, hints of minerals, wet stones and other red fruits dominated by cherries. Very good length, some smooth tannins and refreshing acidity. In cool cellar this will has a positive evolution for a decade.
