From a nice looking bottle I bought at auction, I don't know if the gold color was from being somewhat mistreated or if it is just a relatively quick ager. The medium intensity nose showed lemons, nuts, and apple.
In the mouth, this wine was not obviously oxidized but it was certainly was a bit past its prime. It had firm acidity and good length but not quite enough richness and fruit to cover the structure. Interestingly, it was still showed its best after 2 hours!
This domain is generally an excellent, but under-appreciated, producer. However, my guess is that this bottle was not kept well.

Eric Levine at The Ledbury: Same bottle as Rupert's note. Mid yellow. Slightly cheesy but nicely mineral nose. Ripe and rounded, very intense on the finish. Developing nicely in the glass. ***1/2
