Really nice aromatic cherry, redcurrant, spicy and very present oak, maybe a little woodsy nuance, not really meaty/peppery savory but just a little earthy. I found it just a touch overly hot; compared to a similar priced Chateauneuf from around the same vintage (Chapoutier Bernardine) it was a little less complex and memorable. Still well made and with an intense, warming palate, if a little short on the finish. Wish I had chilled it a little more before serving.

Simultaneously full of fruit and savory notes - this strikes a good balance of new world fruit with balancing acidity and savor. Dark berries, still some crunchiness and olives and tobacco notes. Quite enjoyable and in a good drinking window.

Red currant, pomegranate, cinnamon, baking spice, chocolate and herbs. Less lively than some of the more recent vintages (2012 etc.) but that may have to do with its aging at this point. A tad bit chalky but very enjoyable.

Garnet and crimson red with a nose of raspberries trampled on a mushroom covered forest floor. On the palate there are red fruits which have softened and given way to a more rustic and earthy palate. The finish is long and reminds me of a smoked raspberry compote.

High octane. Nice aromatics. A bit hot on the palate. Mainly about the fruit.
