Pristine bottle, ullage < 1cm. Mature but lively appearance; expressive, complex nose, undergrowth, sauvage, red meat, wood spice, more than a hint of brett, cool minerality, good depth; energetic and fresh palate, firm skin phenolics, medium body, estery fruit flavours, bright acidity; rather upturned finish, good length.

nicely mature smoky elements. Friend critique the finish was nothing - fell of a cliff. I liked it, had enough depth and interest, but not a big wine and should be drunk sooner than later.

Consistent notes. This is one of the best Savigny Les Beaunes I've tried. The fruit is very present on the central core, the nose is mature, leafy, woody, very fall-like. Tannins are still perceived but they aren't too aggressive. They give it a dusty finish.

Dark red, with no bricking. Just a violet rim. Earthy and mineral with leather, cedar and red fruits. It is lean but full of extract. Good structure. Bright acidity and dusty grip at the end. It tastes mature and delicious. Excellent effort.

Fragrant, open, mature nose, good depth, ripe and pure fruit (redcurrant, sour cherry), floral notes from the stems, sauvage and mineral notes, warm oak; slender palate, lovely mineral energy, a little bit tight but fresh and engaging, balanced and cool; dry but not drying on the finish, good persistence. At peak, showing very well.
